I was a writing tutor at Washington & Jefferson College. I tutored other college students in writing from a variety of subject areas - History, Economics, Philosophy, and English. I have a Master's of Arts in Teaching English Language Arts, so I am highly trained in developing reading and writing literacy for students in grades 7-12.

Hobbies
Teaching is my passion. I am a middle school teacher in the Cartwright District and I am eager to find more ways of getting involved in education around the Phoenix area. I moved here this summer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I have enjoyed every moment of being here. Outside of teaching I enjoy being outdoors, doing creative writing, and making good food. I love traveling as well. I lived in France for a semester in college and have been to 11 different countries. My travels have taught me so much that now goes into my teaching and tutoring practice in terms of building cultural awareness and an enjoyment of working with and meeting new people.
