Currently, I am a tutor at Sun Valley Charter School and Sureprep Learning where I tutor third through eight grade math and readingl. I thoroughly enjoy being a mentor and tutor for my students. It has become one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Also, I am a tennis instructor for 10 and under children at the City of Tempe and Advantage Tennis Academy. My role is to develop eye hand coordination, teach tennis basics, and create a positive atmosphere for the academy. My behind the scenes role is to create confidence in the children with a fun, exciting, positive environment in which the kids and the parents continue to return. My customer service skills were developed as a result of my 20 year career as a main point of contact for a computer helpdesk. At this position, we worked with people in their most stressed, frustrated, and negative state of mind on a daily basis. Our job was to fix the problem and leave the user with the most positive experience possible. My teammates and I were extremely successful at accomplishing exactly this purpose. In addition to my work history, I possess strong math skills which I developed as a child and maintained throughout my college and business careers. I feel that with my math background, my IT career, my customer service work history, and a natural rapport with children, I can be a great tutor, mentor, and coach.
