I attended Grand Canyon University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in music education. Having worked as a certified teacher for the past thirteen years, I am quite comfortable teaching in a range of settings. Along with teaching English, I have helped a number of students prepare for college by giving them the skills they needed to score high on their university entrance exams.Upon completing my undergraduate studies, I enrolled in Northern Arizona University and received a master's in educational leadership. Using what I have learned in my master's studies, I taught leaderships classes, where I helped students build the life skills needed to navigate the professional world. Of all the subjects I tutor, I am the most passionate about reading. My goal is to help students develop strong, critical reading skills so that they are able to share my passion.I have experience teaching a range of grades, from elementary school up until high school, but I have the most experience teaching middle school. I personally believe every student has the capacity to be successful. Each student has their own set of strengths and weaknesses, and it is up to the teacher to customize lessons to suit the student's needs.When I am away from the classroom, I like to read, exercise, and spend time with my family.
