I am a tutor located in Phoenix, Arizona with an English degree from California Baptist University. I approach learning and life with the same mindset that each student learns differently, and tutoring should cater to the individual needs and goals of the student. My education and work history have given me insight into the value and meaning of one-on-one learning. I have over 10 years of experience teaching children and youth, and 2 years of experience training adults in the workplace. I help students understand concepts while building a relationship similar to a coach or mentor. Struggling in any area of academics can impact a student's confidence and self esteem. For me, the most rewarding thing about teaching is seeing that moment when a student has the "Ah-ha" moment. My appreciation for academics first began in high school. I completed many credits of Advanced Placement courses that allowed me to complete my undergraduate degree in just 3 years. I excel at tutoring a wide variety of subjects, however, I am most passionate about sharing my knowledge of Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Spanish, Reading, Writing, and study skills. I am proud to consider myself a lifelong learner, and I enjoy using my positive attitude towards learning to help motivate and encourage other great minds.
