Experience
I have been described as a very outgoing and personable person. I love to meet new people. My main goal is to make people feel safe and comfortable, so they can learn effectively. Tutoring allows me to help others gain confidence in their work and help them find abilities that they may not even know they had. I have most enjoyed helping others with math, so I feel like tutoring is a great way to move back into it. One of the biggest reasons that I tutor is because as a child I struggled with learning because of my A.D.D. I felt let down by the system, but I finally found help and got through my hurdles. Now I want to be able to share the tips and tricks I learned with my students. My experience includes being a paraprofessional in math courses at the high-school level. I have been a private tutor for over ten years, helping students from elementary to college level, including those with special needs. I was also a teaching assistant at Arizona State University. At the university, I taught freshmen and sophomore students statistics, algebra, music, and more. I have taught students from all walks of life and would love to help you or your child with the struggles that academics can bring.
