I have been teaching for the last five years, with one spent teaching in South America. I have spent time before that working with students tutoring. I work as a teacher in the interventions department, so much of my day is spent with students who are below level in reading. My job is to raise them to on level. I know specific strategies that are useful in helping students become successful academically. I also spend time working with English Language Learners, so I know how to address that population as well.
