Experience
I have experience tutoring at the high school, college, and graduate level in psychology working while I was in school as well as after. I never intended to tutor, however, earned a reputation for understanding the material as well as what the professors wanted from their assignments, which brought the opportunity to tutor directly to me. I have also tutored at the high school, college, and graduate level in the subject of writing, working at the high school level in creative writing and research, and working at the college and graduate level in writing essays and research assignments. I come from a family of creative writers (one of whom is an extremely well known best selling fantasy author) and understand how to help writers explore their ideas and present them on paper in a way that pulls in and catches their readers. I have also had huge success helping students not only formulate and structure their research assignments but learn how to discern (eventually without my help) exactly what a professor wants from an assignment. This concern is something I have learned often holds students back from receiving the grades they can earn, as their papers are well structured and full of information, however, students often misunderstand the initial assignment and simply provide the wrong information and/or incomplete information.

Hobbies
I have always been and will always be interested in helping people. I am continuing my education and will begin a second post graduate degree this coming year that will lead me to a license in mental health counseling. I also have and continue to be a successful personal fitness trainer on the side, mostly because I enjoy working with people and helping them reach their goals. I tutor because I love the excitement and sense of pride in the faces of clients when they finally understand the material and improve their grades. No matter what I am doing, I am always looking to help, whether it is with school, fitness, emotional matters, or even just bringing a smile to a stranger's sad face. People should help each other when and where they can in life and I try to lead by example.
