Experience
I am a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and also hold an undergraduate double major in Chemistry and Mathematics with a minor in Physics. As a graduate student, I taught undergraduate chemistry courses and received high praise in my student evaluations. I have also taught college-level intermediate algebra. After obtaining my doctorate and working as a chemist, I decided to take my education in a more creative direction by attending culinary school. I am currently working in recipe development, where I get to use both my chemistry and culinary chops! However, I love to apply my knowledge in science and math by tutoring students ranging in age from junior high kids to post-graduate students. I enjoy helping students to not only understand math and science concepts, but to have fun with the process as well! I use the same approach when tutoring students for the ACT, SAT, GRE, and MCAT. I tutor secondary and post-secondary students in mathematics classes from basic geometry to AP- and IB-level courses, and science classes from beginning biology to advanced physics. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor pursuits like running, hiking, cycling, and of course, I love to bake.
