My ability to work with all kids, from gifted students and enrichment studies, to students with emotional or learning disabilities, makes me an excellent tutor. I have actually received commendations for my enrichment programs. Because I had difficulties in school, specifically ADHD, I understand students with specific needs, and that is why I became a Special Education teacher. I work well with students that are not excited about school because I value the importance of a good education, while also realizing that it is not always fun for students. But it's my job to make the learning process fun and even rewarding for my students, and I make sure to work towards that in all my tutoring sessions. I strive to meet each learner's needs, focusing on their strengths, and I especially work well with visual learners.I tutor students in all subjects up through high school. I can tutor math up to geometry, and also specialize in teaching essay writing as far as the college level. I am also good at teaching reading, from phonics for kindergarten students through high school literature. I have a great deal of patience to work with all kinds of students. When I'm not with my students, I like reading, playing board games, and bicycling, as well as playing and watching soccer.
