I'm a graduate student as well as casual staff at a local college. Life has taken me to interesting places, but I am happy to be living in Phoenix. I love living in Arizona. While indoors, I've always loved settling into a great book, trying out something new in my kitchen, or even cheering on my favorite soccer team, since moving here I've really expanded. It's great exploring, taking in the beautiful view while cycling, or even taking my telescope out to the desert. I'm genuinely passionate about the world around me. I think that is why I love math and the sciences, especially biology. I think being excited about what I'm tutoring makes a huge difference to my students. Through that difference, I am able to push my students to excellence. I get to help so many see how truly remarkable they are. I started, and haven't stopped tutoring since high school. Whether the students needed help in English, French, or a History class, I was there to help. It's great to be part of the breakthroughs, like when someone finally passes the class they failed at first, all because I was able to empower them. Some of my students have gotten into the most prestigious colleges because I could give them confidence to knock out the standardized tests. I try to help people become more than they thought they could be.
