I specialize in tutoring on different types of engineering coursework. I have a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in business. I am working towards my doctorate after getting a National Science Foundation Fellowship. I now do laboratory research on robotics where we are developing limb prosthetics for people who have undergone amputations. I have taught classes for students who wish to become engineers and have also given them personal tutoring sessions. I have tutored all student levels from middle school to college. Other subjects I can tutor include calculus, algebra, and trigonometry. I can also tutor physics and most of the standardized test sections from the ACT, SAT, and PSAT. I play soccer and basketball when I have some free time. I like to go hiking and camping as well. I realize that students learn at different rates and in different ways. I try to tailor my tutoring to fit the level and personality of each student I have to tutor. I show them the basic principles of a problem and let them try to work it from their own perspective. I want them to understand that increasing their learning rate is more important than just working through each problem one at a time.
