I specialize in rebuilding the math confidence that students lose due to their past experiences with the subject. I have found that once a student begins to struggle in the subject, that it snowballs into larger problems because they are unable to move on in the course. I believe that finding the source of the problem early, is key to keeping a student on target with their academic goals. Math is a subject based on logic and consistency, and building the foundation for these skills are essential to moving forward. Additionally, I work with students to overcome their anxiety with math and finding the learning style that they will allow them to succeed within the subject. There may only be one correct answer to a problem, but there are often several ways to reach it. I earned my bachelor's in Mathematics at Arizona State University. I have worked in the field professionally as a tutor for Glendale Community College, and at Arizona State University as an teacher's aid for Math in Elementary Education. When I am not working, I enjoy movies, and computer or board games.
