I'm passionate about tutoring children. I can help students in many subjects, including algebra, elementary math, pre-calculus, statistics, anatomy, reading, and Earth science. I'm available to do test prep and I'm also experienced working with children who have special needs. I can also work with students on their studying and organizational skills. I received my degree in Speech Sciences and Technology from Northern Arizona University. While at university I had the privilege of completing an internship in which I worked directly with kids and was able to assist in speech therapy at the school. This internship and my time at college fueled my passion for learning and helping others. My teaching philosophy is that you must view students as individuals, who have unique needs and struggles. You must cater your teaching style to the student, not expect the student to understand your method of teaching. I know that each individual can succeed, and I want to help them make it happen. When I'm not teaching I enjoy swimming, watching movies, and attending team sporting events like baseball games.
