Education

Colorado College - BA and BA, Mathematics and Asian Studies

Experience

I love learning and academics. I went to high school in Phoenix, Arizona, and now study at Colorado College in Colorado Springs. I am working on two bachelor's degrees, one in mathematics and the other in Asian studies, focusing on Japan. I have experience tutoring from high school, as well as being part of a year-long pilot program through the National Honor Society to offer online tutoring to elementary, middle and high school students. I currently work with Public Achievement, where high school students complete community improvement projects with guidance from the program. When I'm not studying or teaching, I enjoy indoor rock climbing, reading fantasy novels, swimming, and playing video games.I love teaching mathematics. Geometry and algebra, in particular, are foundational to further math and science studies, are commonly used in other fields, and have interesting histories. These things make them particularly fun to teach. I am available to tutor mathematics at every level including elementary math, middle school math, and calculus, as well as Japanese and test preparation.
