I'm an elementary teacher currently teaching first grade. Prior to my first grade teaching position, I lead after school and before school programs, and then became a paraeducator for special education students. I also participate as a tutor at the school. I provide assistance to students between third and sixth grade with homework. I come from a family of teachers, so I've been around education my whole life, and I love what I do. I was lucky enough to be recognized by OfficeMax as a Teacher of the Year. I attended Arizona State University to earn my bachelor's degree in art education, and received a graduate degree in education and reading from Grand Canyon University. In my free time, I like to cook and do yoga. I also enjoy interior decorating, and I love animals.
