I believe that tutoring offers students a great avenue to absorb information without the constraints and pressures present at a formal school. I fully understand that every child thinks and acts differently and strive to approach teaching them in a way that will stick. I have a master's degree in elementary education from ASU. After receiving my masters, I spent time helping a charter school open. I helped set up the curriculum and at the same time taught kindergarteners through third graders. I taught at another charter school for second and third grades. After both of my charter school experiences, I started my own daycare. The focus of my daycare was helping mold children's minds. Since 90% of a child's brain is developed by the time they are 5, I want to focus on instilling a passion for learning and reading in them during that time. I am completely comfortable and confident tutoring math subjects like algebra, geometry, and calculus. I also tutor students in various sciences, including biology, chemistry, and Earth sciences. I can also assist with preparing and studying for the ACT and SAT test.
