I enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects, but my personal passions are history and English. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies that I earned at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. I now live in Glendale, Arizona, and I moved here to teach. I enjoy teaching because I think that a good education is extremely important for everyone in today's society to have. When I teach and tutor, I not only strive to help a student master a class or earn a good test score, but I strive to help them enjoy learning, even if they currently find school a chore. Math courses I tutor include basic arithmetic, elementary math, middle school math, pre-algebra, and algebra I. I also tutor 1st grade writing, 2nd grade writing, 3rd grade writing, reading, and phonics. I am always willing to work with ESL students. When not teaching or tutoring, I like to read, watch sports, and watch good movies.
