Experience
I am an experienced teacher, and I have been teaching at an online university for over two years now. I recently earned a master's degree in Public Health with a concentration on epidemiology and infectious diseases from the University of Arizona. I also hold an additional master's degree in International Security and Policy. Prior to earning my master's degrees, I earned my bachelor's degree in Classics with a concentration on Roman history, public health, and disease in the ancient world. At the online university I currently work for, I teach students who are working toward their degrees in Medical Billing and Coding. Specific classes I teach include public health, anatomy, medical ethics, healthcare compliance, and others.I enjoy teaching and tutoring, because I have a true passion for education. I like helping students understand material they currently find challenging and leading them to those "lightbulb" moments when a course they were confused with begins to immediately make sense. These moments truly remind me of why I love teaching and helping students work to achieve their dreams! When not tutoring or teaching, I enjoy reading, practicing Pilates, and spending quality time with my rescue dogs.
