-BA in English with a minor in Education from University of California, Davis -3.4 GPA throughout college, 4.0 throughout high school -First Aid Certified, Fingerprint Clearance Card available upon request as well. -Currently, I am working toward becoming certified in Arizona to teach High School English.
Experience
I am currently an assistant in a 5/6 classroom. I've worked in education for five years, with prior personal experience in the classroom (grew up in a family full of teachers!). I have privately tutored friends, family, and previous students for years in elementary and middle school math, science, and social studies, as well as K-12 English Language Arts. I previously worked as a part-time tutor at a professional tutoring center, helping K-12 students in all subjects, as well as tutoring students in test prep for their GEDs, ACTs, AP Tests, or SATs (English/Writing only). I received a 2040 on my SATs in high school. Additionally, I passed all AP tests in high school with 3s and 4s. I love working with kids and have had very impressive results with students in the past!

Hobbies
I am 27 years old and have two younger sisters, aged 8 and 10, with whom I am very close. I love to read, write, and go to the movies. I love playing volleyball, swimming, and hiking. I like to joke around and have fun, but take academics very seriously! I think reading and writing are very important skills, especially with "text speak" and slang dominating websites and social media. I am new to Phoenix, but love exploring the area, finding new places to find a cup of coffee, and sitting down with a good book. I strive to make learning fun, and to make students very confident in their abilities.
