Experience
I am a tutor in Spanish, English, and writing. I have had experience tutoring colleagues in various subjects throughout my college experience. Currently, I am in my final year of college at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. I am training to become a Spanish instructor. My primary focus is Spanish Literature of Latin America. However, I can also help with Spanish vocabulary and grammar. I have over a year and a half of experience teaching Spanish in a local high school. Aside from my studies in Spanish, I also have training in English composition and teaching ESL. I have taught English to many students that have a different primary language. I am open to people from all walks of life and from all different cultures. I feel that I am an asset to students that are learning English because I have experience with, and I am open to, all different cultures. Whether I am teaching Spanish or English, I use the same tools. I strive to incorporate a lot of today's new technology into each lesson plan. I do this by using videos, PowerPoint presentations, and music. I use the perfect blend of new technology and traditional practices to create a fun and effective lesson plan. Another thing that makes me an asset to have as a tutor is my love for communication. I enjoy communicating with people and helping them look at the world in different ways. I look forward to meeting my future clients and learning as much from them as they learn from me.
