My path to higher education led me to the University of Minnesota, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Educational Psychology. After receiving my bachelor's degree, I went on to Northern Arizona University, where I received my Master of Education in Leadership. In the past, I focused on career development, peak performance, student learning, and study skills. Currently, I am focusing on internet based learning and instructional design and how it plays a significant part in education. My experience includes being a career specialist and college English and Psychology instructor for more than fifteen years. I have taught workshops for nonprofit government organizations, high schools, and colleges. I am available to help with math subjects such as pre-algebra, algebra 1, and elementary through high school level math. I am also available to help with reading, writing, essay editing, grammar and mechanics, and study skills. I can assist students in boosting their standardized test scores. I remember falling in love with a particular word, Philolexian. Philolexian is rooted in Ancient Greek, and means "Lover of discourse." I also take it to mean "Lover of learning." I believe that I can learn just as much, if not more, from students as I can teach them. I am excited to guide and inspire students on their educational journey.Now I am looking to share my knowledge on a one-on-one basis with pupils. My tutoring style includes encouraging my students to ask questions. I firmly believe that there are no stupid questions, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking me whatever they are curious about.
