Experience
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the College of William and Mary. I earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. I was also awarded a PhD in Educational Psychology and Special Education from GMU. My work in education allows me to see each person's challenge as something that can be overcome and conquered. When teaching children, I get to work with them and interact with their parents too. I think this empowers both the student and the parent to work together to achieve more.My goal, as a tutor, is to arm people with strategies to help them take their success beyond our work. I love it when I am no longer needed. In a way, it is like the student has graduated. I have also had the immense pleasure of helping those with autism, and other learning challenges. When academic challenges become too tough, students can lose their desire to succeed. When you are ready for a tutor who knows the ropes, reach out to me.
