My tutoring philosophy entails a belief that nothing is impossible. I always strive to determine the possibilities in mastering difficult subject matter and situations. I focus on identifying my student's individual learning style and academic goals, and then I tailor a program that meets my student's needs. I strive to build self-esteem and self-confidence in my students so that they have the confidence to attack their learning barriers head-on. I provide a stress-free learning environment so students are comfortable and focused on their objectives. My experience in tutoring and teaching students began while I was working toward my degree. I spent time tutoring middle school students in Language coursework, and later taught English to high school students. I'm originally from Uruguay and my native tongue is Spanish. I enjoy tutoring in English and Spanish because I think being fluent in more than one language is a great skill to have. It also shows students that Language can be a fun and entertaining subject to learn. I have developed varied methods of teaching Language so that students grasp the concepts quickly.Since earning my master's degree from the University of Phoenix in Administration of Justice and Security, I've enjoyed being a teacher and Attorney at Law. When I'm not working or teaching, I enjoy reading, taking time for relaxing walks, and swimming.
