I enjoy sharing the passion that I have for the English language with others. My patience, compassion, and ambition are all qualities that contribute to my success as a tutor and in other fields of endeavor. When I connect with a student and inspire him or her, I feel that I am paying forward the inspiration that a few special mentors and teachers have given me along my journey. It's very rewarding to be able to use my expertise and experience to make a measurable difference in my students' academic outcomes.I attended San Francisco State University and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Starting in childhood, I have loved almost nothing more than writing. I have a great deal of writing experience, and I'm sensitive to the challenges that writing well presents. Now I help others to build their confidence in their own writing abilities. I establish trust with my students and ensure that they are comfortable with me and the teaching methods that I choose. After I get to know them, I can maximize their success by using a teaching approach that's best suited to their individual personality.When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, journaling, and writing poetry. Some of my favorite outdoor pastimes are skiing, hiking, camping, and snowboarding.
