EducationArizona State University - Bachelors, Communication & Spanish Linguistics
ExperienceI'm a first-generation college graduate with two bachelor's of arts degrees. I acquired both at Arizona State University - one in human communication and the other in Spanish linguistics with a French minor. I received the Dean's Medal Award along with 18 other students among the thousands enrolled at the school. I graduated with a 3.64 GPA. While enrolled, I tutored students in high school and college-level French and Spanish. I work with novice and advanced students alike to help them improve their speaking and writing skills. I admire their willingness to learn and am eager to work alongside them to achieve their goals. As a tutor, I strive to empower my students through ongoing opportunities to succeed, encouragement, and personalized education. I base each lesson plan on the student's current level of proficiency while remaining flexible enough to allow them to take all the time they need to learn the information. I can help a student improve their conversational or professional Spanish, prepare for the GRE French test, or edit their essays in their second language. I am adept at altering my approach to make the information easy to grasp and remember. Outside of teaching, I love writing short stories, belly dancing, and reading.
HobbiesWriting short stories, yoga, singing, belly dancing, painting.
