I am currently a senior at Arizona State University where I'm majoring in applied biological sciences with a focus on secondary education. Once I receive my bachelor's degree, my goal is to become a high school science teacher. Ever since I was a high school student, I've always loved learning about biology and other life sciences. For me, there's no greater feeling than being able to share my own interests with students who also enjoy gaining in-depth knowledge of science - especially biology. I also enjoy working with high school students as a classroom teacher as well as a tutor. I like being able to build professional relationships with my pupils so that I have a better understanding of their personalities and their goals. With this information, I can then come up with individualized lesson plans that are designed specifically for my students, so that they're able to build upon their existing strengths and overcome any weaknesses that they may have. In my experience as a tutor, I've never come across a student who's unable to learn. Everyone has the capacity to excel in the classroom as long as they can work with someone who teaches them in a way that complements their learning style.
