Experience
I have a Master's Degree in Special Education from Walden University. I have a great love of learning and my goal is to help my students develop that same kind of love. I feel like everyone has the potential to learn so I tend to have high expectations for my students because students tend to be successful when they have lofty goals to reach. I have seven years of teaching experience and I am comfortable tutoring students in college English, math, technology and computer science, pre-algebra, English grammar and syntax, phonics, and algebra. I can also help students prepare for standardized tests, including the SSAT and the ISEE. The majority of my teaching experience has taken place at the middle school level. I am also currently teaching writing and math in special education while also leading after school tutoring sessions. While most of my experience is in teaching special education, I am comfortable teaching all students. I really enjoy working with students who have special needs, but I enjoy working with students in general education just as much. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, baking, making jewelry, playing with my dog, reading, and playing tennis.
