Education
I'm currently a senior at La Joya Community High School. I have a 4.02 GPA and I am an AP and Honors student. I take my education very seriously and believe that anyone can become academically successful through hard work and determination. I plan on attending NAU this coming fall and hope to pursue a career in psychology.
Experience
This semester of high school I voluntarily work with high school special education students as a peer aid and help them perform everyday tasks. I've taken the ACT once and the SAT twice and I've also taken the PSAT and the AIMS test. I plan to take the AP English and the AP Government test this May as well. I'm currently dual enrolled with Estrella Mountain Community College so I can receive my college credits while I'm still in high school. I have also received a $36,000 scholarship to have my entire tuiton paid for at NAU. I love helping my 3 sisters with their own school work and I believe I have a lot to offer to any student that needs some help with a subject. I strongly believe that all students can achieve academic success and they shouldn't feel ashamed to ask for help (:

Hobbies
I practically live at Barnes and Noble and at my school library. I enjoy reading in my free time, specifically dystopian fiction and romance novels. I also write in my free time and I am in a journalism club. I write articles for my school's online newspaper and have also participated in creating my high school's yearbook. I've taken a variety of math courses and a wide range of electives with psychology being my favorite. I also took a summer school math course to get a few extra credits and have also taken online courses on Primavera to get ahead. I love to spend time with my family and dog and I love being outside.
