Education
I am a self taught artist that has made a 38 year career working full time. I have 38 years of hands on experience creating art in almost every medium. I have managed an art studio for 20 years, directing and teaching young as well as mature artists. Being a self taught artist has allowed me to see no boundaries or limitations to the use of techniques or materials, unlike the constraints of a formal structured education. In the art world a formal education can only take you so far, it is the hands on experience and successes that make a career. I have had the privilege of working with some of the most talented and innovative artist in this niche' of the art world. I am not an artist who has or ever will want to be the "celebrity" artist, I live and breath art because it satisfies my need to create. I communicate very well with the people I tutor and allow them to progress at their own pace with no expectations or timelines.
Experience
In my 20 years of managing, developing and directing other artists I have become very effective in being able to work hands on with developing the knowledge of materials, techniques and the unlimited possibilities that help artists expand their skills and direction. I currently work mostly from being commissioned by art consultants and architectural firms who curate and supply clients that are major corporations, such as Marriott Resorts, Hyatt and major health care facilities as well as private collectors.
